Our testimonies can touch lives and draw others closer to God. So let us not hesitate to share the amazing things that God has done in our life. What will you testify about today?

Psalm 066 - Do You Testify? - Aneel Aranha

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of his name;
make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you,
they sing the praises of your name.”
Come and see what God has done,
his awesome deeds for mankind!
He turned the sea into dry land,
they passed through the waters on foot—
come, let us rejoice in him.
He rules forever by his power,
his eyes watch the nations—
let not the rebellious rise up against him.
Praise our God, all peoples,
let the sound of his praise be heard;
he has preserved our lives
and kept our feet from slipping.
For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver.
You brought us into prison
and laid burdens on our backs.
You let people ride over our heads;
we went through fire and water,
but you brought us to a place of abundance.
I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
and fulfill my vows to you—
vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
when I was in trouble.
I will sacrifice fat animals to you
and an offering of rams;
I will offer bulls and goats.
Come and hear, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what he has done for me.
I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;
but God has surely listened
and has heard my prayer.
Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!

Have you ever had an experience that was so incredible, so life-changing, that you couldn't help but share it with others? It might be a testimony of healing, restoration, or a miraculous provision in your life. Testimonies have a powerful impact on both the person sharing it and those who hear it.

In Psalm 66, the psalmist encourages us to "come and see what God has done" (verse 5) and to "declare God's praise with their mouths" (verse 17). This is an invitation to share our testimonies of God's faithfulness and deliverance. When we share our testimonies, we not only glorify God, but we also inspire and encourage others in their faith journey.

We see the significance of testimonies through the ministry of Jesus and the early disciples. In one famous incident, Jesus heals a demon-possessed man, who begs Jesus to let him go with him. Instead, Jesus tells him, "Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you" (Mark 5:19). The man goes and shares his testimony of transformation throughout the Decapolis, and people are amazed at what God had done.

Similarly, in Acts 4, Peter and John were arrested for preaching about Jesus. When questioned, they boldly proclaimed, "We cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard" (Acts 4:20). Their testimony of Jesus' resurrection and personal encounters with him spread throughout Jerusalem, and as a result many came to believe.

Testimonies not only build up the faith of others, but they also remind us of God's faithfulness in our own lives. They remind us that God is active and present in our world today, working miracles, providing for us, and transforming lives.

So, let's reflect on our own lives. What testimonies of God's faithfulness can we share? Has God answered our prayers, brought healing, provided for our needs, or delivered us from difficult situations? Let us take the time to share our testimonies, both in words and in our actions, so that others may be encouraged and inspired to seek God and experience his goodness.

God bless you.
